# Are these leads pre-foreclosure?

Yes, these leads are considered pre-foreclosure, as they identify homeowners in the early stages of mortgage delinquency.

However, “pre-foreclosure” leads from other providers typically refer to homeowners who have had a Notice of Default (NOD) or Lis Pendens filed.  They typically aggregate the data from the public filing which usually occurs after payments are 5 or more months late. 

Since the leads we furnish are at even earlier stage *before** ***public filing, we refer to them as Late Mortgage Payment leads to distinguish them from Pre-foreclosure.
