Articles on: Pre-Probate Leads FAQ

How long do I have to act before the property enters probate?

There’s no set timeframe — it depends on the family’s circumstances and local court timelines. Some estates may enter probate within weeks of death, while others may take months or never file at all.

That’s why it’s important to reach out early and establish a connection. Even if the family isn’t ready to make decisions right away, ongoing follow-up can position you as a trusted resource when they are ready,  whether or not the case ever enters probate.
